How Can You Help Tracy?

We have been overwhelmed with the outpouring of love and support that Tracy and her family have received.  As an active member of the Hills Relay for Life 200km Cancer Walk team that has raised nearly $50,000 over the past few years, it is fantastic that so many people are now banding together to help Tracy in her own battle with cancer.  You have all been so generous, and everyone wants to know how they can help, so please read on!

Our next big fundraising event is on 12th March 2016 at the James Squire Brewery in Camperdown. We would love to have as many people as possible there to support Tracy, but we know not everyone will be able to make it.  We have identified a couple of other ways to help out with fundraising because no matter how big or small every contribution will make a difference to helping Tracy. Please follow the links to the events and donations.

Create Your Own Fund Raiser

Thank you for coming to this part of the website!  Your support makes a real difference, and this fundraising guide is to help put your good intentions into practice. There is an idea or two for everyone – all we have to do is action it!  Those who are selfless and charitable know that receiving is in the giving and your generosity and kindness will be appreciated beyond words and will make a positive difference to the lives of Tracy, Mike and Taya.  The beauty here is that we can partake in a fundraising event, whilst at the same time catching up with friends and family and having a good time!

Please let us know about your fundraising ideas so that we can support you in whichever way we can.

Ideas for Fundraising

If you want to run your own fundraising event, here are some ideas:

  • Fundraise at home: cocktail evening, dinner party, movies with friends, girls night in, Sunday BBQ, quiz/trivia evening ...
  • Do chores for Mom and Dad, neighbours or friends, for a fee: cooking a meal, washing a car, weeding the garden, mowing the lawn, walking the neighbour's dog for a week ...
  • Do without some "treats" and "time-savers" and donate the money you save: take-away coffee for a week ($25), take-away lunch for a week ($50), lunch at the school canteen, a second or third drink when going out, popcorn and soft drink at the movies ...
  • Ask a business that you spend a lot of money at to donate a product or service: restaurant and accommodation, beauty (hair, spa, make-up, treatments), entertainment (movies, venues, shows), activities (golf, paintball, paragliding, kayaking), pets (grooming, vet services) ...
  • Donate a product that you already have at home: a good bottle of wine or spirits, gourmet food that can be used in constructing a gourmet hamper (with a use by date after July 2014), an item that has unique appeal and can be auctioned off ...
  • Sell unused items at home on eBay or Gumtree and donate the proceeds.
  • Ask neighbours, friends or family for garage sale items and sell them.
  • Donate 1 hour of your salary or 1 week of your pocket money or allowance.
  • Ask for a present on your birthday to be a donation for Tracy.
  • Organise a mini fundraising event of your own: golf day, karaoke evening, trip to the vineyards, treasure hunt, fishing trip, sausage sizzle, movie night at the cinemas, morning or afternoon tea party ...
  • Offer some of your frequent flyer points to purchase products.
  • Make contact with anyone who is able to help, or who has a contact that can help!

The list of ideas is endless and is only restricted by your imagination.  This is an extremely worthy cause that pulls at the heartstrings.  Please help.  BECAUSE WE CAN!

Day to Day Support

Tracy has a really busy schedule with treatments, scans, tests, and resting in between all of that.  Tracy being Tracy she still wants to be involved with day to day things like homework, cooking and school collections, but these things are not always possible for her.  If you would like to find out how you can help with day-to-day things, please contact us on and we will get back to you.
